Replace all those missing buttons November 16, 2008
Years ago (before divorce) I had an earlier version of this wonerful product. These days, as a bachelor again, I need it more than ever. Oh yes, I do have the usual needle set and black and white thread. But I rarely get the button exactly where it should go, or stab a finger in the process. This newer device takes a little time to get used to but not too bad. The little plastic "thread" gadgets are very clever and make for a very sturdy mounting. You can double up on these for an especially strong mounting on trousers. A quick answer to a problem everyone who wears clothes regularly has. I understand even nudists like the Buttoneer.

Not so good October 12, 2008
I used it on a small thin metal button for pants and I tried and tried and it never did fasten. I have not tried it with the small plastic buttons they supplies possibly it works with it but they will not fasten pants. I was disapointed.

Since Sliced Bread August 19, 2008
Buttoneer, is the best invention since sliced bread!. The device is simple to use, it is compact (about the size of a cell phone and is light weight). All you have to do is put its needle through your button, insert the fastner into the tiny slot, pierce the clothing article slowly and then press the Buttoneer's butt end.

Hint: A simple solution to other people that say that the needle breaks or the fastners do no penetrate clothing- First pierce holes using the buttoneer's needle of where you want the button to be placed BEFORE you use the fastners. Secondly, when you use the fastners, try to instert it very slowly and with pressure. The device works fine once you get the hang of it.

Caveat emptor April 19, 2008
Like others attached a button but fasteners quickly broke.
On the third try, needle broke.
Good concept but cheap construction and materials.
Original product made by Dennison sounds good but I
do not see it available.
Save your money.

looked good, didn't work so well April 15, 2008
I bought the buttoneer. This product did not work for me. In fact it was much easier to just sew the button back on which it what i had to do any way.
