5 out of 5 stars Excellent Wine Cooler! Elegant and Simple.   March 28, 2008

This wine cooler exceeded my expectations. I wanted something simple, yet elegant, that can be placed on the dining table.
This cooler does the trick! It is very sleek and elegant, and most importantly, produces absolutely no condesation! Not one drop of water will touch the table. It lasts a long time, you can drink a whole bottle calmly and be relaxed to know that it will stay cool throughout. I prefer to cool the wine in the fridge first, and then use the cooler to keep the temperature constant a long time.
It is also very portable and can be taken to any room in the house, with absolutley no hassle.
What is also very important is that it needs no batteries or wires (wires cannot be placed on a dining table).
I'm not sure if it would keep two bottles cooled back-to-back, haven't tried it yet, but if it doesn't, you can simply buy another ice pack and keep both of them in the freezer!
I recommend this product 100%!

4 out of 5 stars wine cooler   May 12, 2007

The product does work to cool wine and keep it cool. In simple fact, it is just an ice bag you keep in the freezer till you need it! The outside make it nicer for company to see. I would probably buy again knowing what I do now.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent wine cooler   November 9, 2006

Living in the hot lands of Texas and trying to keep a bottle of white wine cool on a patio is a challenge.

This nifty little stainless wine cooler is just what the doctor ordered. The freezer pack is removal able and flattens for storage in the freezer. The bottom of the cooler unscrews to allow the freezer pack to drop right out (make sure it is screwed in tight so the wine bottle doesn't inadvertently drop out).

The cooler is stable and virtually maintenance free. It is well made and compliments most any decor. Also great for a gift

5 out of 5 stars Works Great for Outdoor dining or Cooling Red   January 1, 2006

We live in a warm climate, and this cooler is perfect for keeping pre-chilled whites nice and cool all through dinner when we dine outside. Since our "room temperature" is about 78, it is also perfect for bringing reds down to the 72 they are supposed to be before drinking. Another reviewer complained it didn't work on a second bottle of wine, but since this product works by dropping a frozen vacu-vin chill sleeve into the cooler then screwing the bottom back on, it is also easy to buy more vacu-vin chill sleeves for 9.99 to swap out for the second bottle of wine. No, it won't bring a warm bottle of white to a chill, but for some purposes, this cooler is perfect. (A vacu-vin chill sleeve works just as well, but doesn't look as nice on the dinner table, and it gets a lot of condensation drips, too.)

2 out of 5 stars has no insulation   November 8, 2005

I was disappointed in this item because it has no insulation. For me the greater need is to keep a bottle cool thruout the meal. This will do that OK, but then don't expect it to cool down that second bottle you had not planned on drinking. I'm planning to keep my eye out for one of those foam covers people use on beer bottles, but in a size big enough for wine bottles.
