Even though they feature a wintertime pattern, you can use these Winterberry dishes any time of the year to remind you of the fun and beauty of winter. Each plate, bowl, and mug has a thin green stripe around the outer edge, a ring of holly berries and branches, and an embossed filigree pattern in white. The 16-piece set provides service for four, consisting of dinner plates, salad plates, soup/cereal bowls, and mugs. As with all Pfaltzgraff dishes, single replacement pieces are available for broken items. The stoneware is microwave-, oven-, freezer-, and dishwasher-safe. Five-year warranty. --Doree Armstrong

Great quality, beautiful holiday dishes December 3, 2008
I love the Pfaltzgraff brand and have them as my every day dishes as well. This year I decided I finally wanted to add some holiday dishes to my collection and wanted something that wasn't too overpriced, but something of high quality that would last.

The Winterberry dishes are just that; high quality (everything by Pfaltzgraff seems to be high quality), classic holiday look with the red and green (but not too "Christmasy" that I couldn't use them all winter long), and priced just right.

I had no problem with the shipping/packaging from Amazon - everything came intact with no issues. I'm extremly happy with this dinnerwear set, and may consider buying another set so I have service for 8.

Excellent price December 2, 2008
I've never had the inkling to have holiday dinnerware until this year when I saw the Pfatzgraff Winterberry pattern at a local JC Penney's. Their price was $69 for a 16 piece setting. After checking online, I found that Amazon had the best price and offered free shipping. The box arrived within a week of ordering and nothing was damaged inside. I was so pleased with what I received that I ordered another 16 piece set.

Broken dishes as promised November 11, 2008

Pfaltzgraff Winterberry 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4As promised by other reviewers, I received some broken dishes in the set. Two of the salad plates were in pieces when I opened up the dinnerware set box. The salad plates are sandwiched between the dinner plates and the bowls. The dinner plates and bowls were unbroken. The box of dinnerware was placed in a larger box with some wadded up brown paper for packing. The outside box wasn't damaged.

What a Find! Perfect! June 14, 2008

I am SO happy I checked Amazon when shopping online for these dishes as a wedding gift! My family collects them and so we wanted to give a starter set to the new bride, but finding them in June isn't as easy as it is through the holiday season. I had them in my shopping cart and was ready to check out at the company's main site... wincing at the nearly $30 s/h charge... when I suddenly thought to check Amazon first. Not only did I save $20/set here (I was buying 3), but I also got free super saver shipping. Add that all up, and I saved $90 by buying them here! And they arrived at my doorstep in two days and in perfect condition. There's no doubt that I'll shop here first the next time I'm in the market for these!
