The piece is comfortable to grip and graceful to pour with, thanks to its cut and polished rim. I prefer to decant wines, both young and old. It is a sign of respect for old wines and a sign of confidence in young wines.

In love with this decanter May 27, 2008
This beautiful decanter is the best choice and the price can't be beat. It is a showcase for expensive or moderate priced wines. All the guest were truly impressed as the rich red wine cascaded down the throat and into the bowl. This is the answer to gift giving as well.

Reidel Ultra 8-3/8 Inch Decanter March 15, 2008
This decanter significantly improves the flavor of a low to medium priced wine and the quality of a fine wine really comes through when properly decanted. I would have purchased it sooner if I had known of the difference it would make in the taste and enjoyment of red wine. A Riedel decanter is worth the investment.
