Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
This stainless chimney starter eliminates the need for lighter fluid. Just fill up the bottom with newspaper, the top with charcoal, and it lights itself! Measures 10.75 inches tall x 6.5 inches in diameter.

1 out of 5 stars Who needs a STAINLESS STEEL charcoal starter?   May 18, 2007

Cut some vents in the bottom edge a #10 or large juice can with a can openner. Grab it with a pair of pliers. Spend the money on a better cook book.

5 out of 5 stars No more charcoal lighter fluid!   September 23, 2006

A great way to start charcoal, get rid of newspaper and reduce petroleum dependency. Simply use two full newspaper pages to bottom of chimney then fill with charcoal or wood. Light newspaper, go prepare your food for the grill and when you return (about 15 minutes) a nice flame reaching the top of your chimney signals the coals are ready. Especially nice in winter when lighter fluid fails to evaporate and permeates the taste of the food. You'll get instant satisfaction from this charcoal starter and will never return to lighter fluids again!
