Amazon.com Review
Whether it's a business meeting, a book club get-together, or a bridal shower, this is the ideal way to assure your guests a steaming hot cup of coffee (or cold iced tea). The air pump design means just a few presses on the lid will fill individual cups, down to the last few drops in the bottom. People can easily serve themselves from any side, thanks to the swivel base that makes it a breeze to turn the air pot from side to side. A lock on the lid allows you to safely transport the air pot without spills or leaks. --Cynthia Nims

1 out of 5 stars Don't know about this product...   December 1, 2007

It was packed so poorly by Amazon that it came completely shattered and had to be returned. Looked nice, though...

5 out of 5 stars Great Gadget   November 17, 2007
This works exactly as advertized. It keeps coffee hot all day...great for big dinner parties. I would buy it again, & from Amazon

4 out of 5 stars Keeps drinks ice-cold, too.   August 24, 2007

I use this thermos exclusively for storing ice-cold drinks throughout my day right on my desk. As others have mentioned, it is astounding at keeping the temperature of whatever's within. I crush ice and water (and a little flavoring) in the morning, filling it to the top. I finish it all during my day, but when I refill it the next morning the ice is still there. All of it.

If you're still not convinced: Over the weekend I don't use it. On Monday morning when I refill it ... over 3/4 of the ice is still inside. I haven't left it for long enough to see the ice completely melt.

The top comes off easily, which is a big bonus. The ice maker at my office makes the long ice cubes that are a fair size, and they fit easily (fatter cubes won't make it, though). There's also a carrying handle which is great.

I gave it four stars for the only two "flaws" that I wish weren't there.

First, the lid doesn't seal completely for transport, so if it tips on its side it's going to spill (there's an "open/close" switch on top, but it only prevents the button from being pressed ... I'm not sure how that's useful).

The second is that the pump button itself is not the easiest thing to press. You need to give it a few firm pushes to fill your cup (a lever arrangement would have made this easier).

BUT ... if you're looking for cold drink storage and not planning to pack it on its side, this is it.

5 out of 5 stars Mid Sized Air Pot   May 13, 2007

Zojirushi is THE brand to buy for a pump top thermos (aka vacuum bottle). Well designed with easy to remove/replace components, this particular model appealed to me due to its not too big and not too small capacity. Bottom line is that you can't go wrong with any of the Air Pot series! Highly recommended!

3 out of 5 stars A fluke?   April 23, 2007

When I broke my last Zojirushi air pot, which I had used daily for over 10 years, I immediately went searching for an identical replacement. I found it on Amazon and ordered it. But I'm disappointed because my coffee isn't staying as hot in this one for nearly as long as it did in my original one. I don't know if this is a lemon or if the product isn't of the same quality as it was before ... though it looks identical. I may buy another some day, but I'll be wondering about it when I do.
