On arrival and for hours afterward coffee, tea, or soup will stay hot or lemonade, iced tea, or a sports drink will stay chilled. It's handsome and compact (8-1/2 inches high), plus its 2-1/2-inch-diameter bottom fits most vehicle drink holders. A band of soft, nonslip black rubber encircles the tapered, satin-finish exterior, ensuring a firm grip. The top and bottom are black plastic. The sip-hole cover flips open for no-spill sipping. Best at keeping coffee HOT July 16, 2008
This tumbler will keep a drink hot for at least 2-hours without any pre-conditioning. Also keeps drinks cold this long too even when left in a hot car. I now have this 18-ounce for my home and a 14-ounce for the office that I use only for coffee. Any problems with the flip top is offset by the fabulous insulation of these tumblers. Great buy! I have recommended this to several at work and they a buying too!

18 oz. Thermos Nissan tumbler July 10, 2008
We really like our new tumblers.The thermos part is terrific. When we started with cold liquid and ice in the morning, we drank the liquid and still had ice at the end of the day. It is not completely leak proof, but still fits and works well in a bicycle bottle holder. It easily holds a 12 oz.-14oz. bottle of pop or whatever plus ice.

Worth the money! July 9, 2008
Over the past two years I now have purchased four of these. They last and last. Expensive but worth the money. They hold up well and clean easily in the dishwasher. It keeps coffee hot for many hours. I use it in the car and take it into church with me as well. Great for the office or car travel! I highly-highly recommend this item.

ONE GREAT PRODUCT June 5, 2008
I bought this because my son borrowed my old Thermos/Nissan mug that I've had for almost 20 years and left it somewhere. I loved my old mug, it kept my coffee hot for hours. Then I ordered another brand mug, that claimed it did the same and it was a 20oz. mug, well it did hold 20oz. but it did not keep the contents hot at all. One way to tell if you have a good insulated mug is if the outside stays cool to the touch, the brand X would get hot which meant the contents were getting cooler. I love my new mug, I recommend it to anyone looking for a good, well made mug that works as advertised. The only thing better would be if it held 20 oz.

it's silly to profess love for a mug, but i will! June 1, 2008
this mug is awesome! no, the lid is not spill-proof, just spill-resistant (no more so than your average takeout dunkin donuts styrofoam cup). the purpose of this mug is to keep your beverage hot or cold while you're on the go, and it's phenomenal. i can make my coffee at 6:30am, and still have very, very warm coffee at 11:30am. this is a huge convenience in my life as i work fulltime with three children. not only does this mug do a great job of insulating coffee, it has a fairly large capacity (most mugs are 14-oz sizes), without becoming top-heavy. i've made some fairly sharp, quick turns and sudden stops with a full mug, and it's never fallen over or spilled. i highly recommend this cup - it's worth every penny!
