Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Emeril Lagasse and All-Clad, a dynamic duo to be sure! Following on the success of his first line of cookware, Emeril kicks it up another notch with a stainless steel collection. As any professional knows, stainless is not the best conductor of heat, so Emeril's stainless has a copper and aluminum sandwich on the bottom to improve the pan's ability to conduct heat quickly and evenly. The brushed stainless interior disguises scratches from cooking utensils, while the mirror finish of the exterior is nothing short of dazzling. Beautiful to look at, easy to care for, and backed by a lifetime warranty, Emerilware stainless is a boon to any cook. This large fry pan would be handy for family breakfasts, or for sautEing shrimp or chicken.

Amazon.com Review
Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse kicks it up another notch with this stainless-steel cookware collection, following the success of his nonstick collection. Bam! This 12-inch, slope-sided fry pan is a lustrous example of the stainless-steel collection, which is made by renowned cookware manufacturer All-Clad. Its heavy-gauge, 18/10 stainless steel is polished to a mirror finish outside and blessed with a satin finish inside to conceal utensil marks. To distribute heat uniformly and maintain it, there's a thick aluminum disk on the bottom covered in stainless steel so the pan works on any stovetop, including induction. For elegance, the disk's edge is clad in copper.

Displaying Emeril's signature, the pan's cast-stainless-steel handle is riveted for strength and has a thumb rest and a hanging hole. The handle stays cool on the stovetop but won't be harmed by an oven's highest heat. The pan's lip flares to facilitate dripless pouring. Although Emerilware Stainless cookware is dishwasher-safe, hand washing is recommended. It carries a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

2 out of 5 stars Undecided   March 19, 2008

This fry pan was included in a set that I purchased about 4 1/2 years ago. The copper core has split almost completely off of the bottom of the pan. The rest of the set seems to be o.k., other than the 2 quart sauce pan in which the copper core looks like it's beginning to separate. These two pieces are the ones I have used practically every day since I purchased it. I really liked the set until this happened. I did not abuse the cookware, this just seemed to happen with regular use. I would like to give the fry pan another try, perhaps the one I have just happens to be defective. If happens again, will will not recommend nor will I buy anymore of this cookware. I'm rather hesitant, however, considering the fry pan alone, costs half the amount that I paid for the 10 piece set!

5 out of 5 stars BANG! excellent cookware   January 19, 2008

I have been to culinary school and have used top of the line cookware and this fry pan is equal to anything I experienced there. The pan has great even heating on any type of electric, gas or infra-red.

The all stainless construction is good when you need to do any roasting in the oven. Once you have the pan seasoned it really creates consistant flavoring.

No coatings on this cookware that scratches or comes off on your food. This is professional cookware and will give years of service.

5 out of 5 stars Love it!   January 12, 2008
If you're into cooking, you'll love this pan! Just remember that stainless pans need lower cooking temps than non-stick pans A little olive oil to cook with and you're set!!! Also, clean up is quite good for a non-stick pan. If you want you pans to always shine like brand-new, use the stainless cleaner and they'll look like you should display them!

3 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for.   June 9, 2007
Bought this fan pan based on Amazon reviews - didn't see the pan in stores at the time. You do not get an All Clad pan at half the price. While the pan has a very heavy bottom and cooks OK, the sides of the pan are rather filmsy. My pan has a dent in it and I've never dropped it or banged it against anything. I feel that I could bend the sides of the pan with my bare hands if I tried.

5 out of 5 stars 12" emerilware frying pan   March 9, 2007
This is a really professional frying/sauteeing, etc. pan. I have used it for many types of cooking and really like the feel of it, how evenly it cooks, the fact that the handle stays cool even though it is metal. It's aesthetically pleasing to look at, is nice and heavy feeling but not overly so. I would like it better if it came with a lid as I often slow cook in a frying pan. I have another piece in this set and like it too.
