Light- to medium-bodied red wines need a wide surface area to fully release their bouquet, hence this monumental wine-specific glass from Metrokane. Ideally designed for Burgundy and Pinot Noir, the 34-ounce glass, almost as broad as a fishbowl, provides the appropriate girth and curvature that wine connoisseurs expect. Furthermore, the flared tasting lip directs the wine to the front palate, enhancing the total sensory experience. The set consists of 4 glasses.

Metrokane, maker of the renowned Rabbit corkscrew, etches the base of each glass with a tiny Rabbit icon as a symbol of quality. Hand-blown of remarkably clear lead-free crystal, the glasses are dishwasher-safe, yet the stunning size, 10 by 4-1/2 inches, may preclude them from fitting in most dishwashers. i love the large size of these glasses. its great for swirling your wine. we had a large party and everyone commented on how elegant they looked and how much fun they were to drink from.

I bought these because I was looking for nice red glass. I'm almost embarrassed at the size of them. They are not practical but i paid so little it wasn't worth sending them back. I recently saw them in Bloomingdale's so maybe this is the new trend but they won't do anything for your wine.

I was attracted to these glasses because they are lead free crystal...a nice feature. The glasses are huge, however. I'm keeping them but they're hard to fit on a shelf. Wondering why they have to be this big in the reds. The white wine glasses are more reasonably sized.
