Spode Blue Italian Earthenware 6-Ounce Gourmet Oil and Vinegar Set with Tray

Added to the collection in 2004, this 6-ounce Blue Italian gourmet oil and vinegar set arrives with a matching 4-1/4- by 8-1/4-inch tray. Each dainty serving vessel rests on a 2-1/4 inch base and stands 7 inches tall. The matching tray contains a depression for the pair and also protects the table from any runaway drips. Based upon a late 17th Century drawing, the central design depicts classic Italian ruins in a pastoral setting and decorates the lower half of each pitcher as well as the circular indentions on the tray. An 18th Century Chinese-inspired floral motif adorns the outer edge of the tray as well as the pitcher's handle, rim, and small ceramic stopper that sits atop each vessel. Crafted from Spode's high-quality earthenware, known as Imperialware, the set can safely be placed in the microwave or dishwasher. --Lea Werbel
