Oftentimes it is quite hard to pull the food off the skewer when cooking shish kabob, Greek souvlaki, chicken satay, brochettes or any other skewer recipes, and usually this makes you pull too hard and your meals don't look a gourmet meal. Have you ever seen your food flying off a regular skewer or gotten stuck to the skewer, making it impossible to remove? This is very usual, especially when you prepare delicate food such as kebab fish or fruit kabobs, which fall apart in your skewer rather than on your dish. Luckily, now you can grill very easily and without worrying about the food sticking to the skewer or falling on the floor. From now on, your barbeque foods will have a gourmet presentation thanks to the original design of the Pushette BBQ Skewers. It is completely useful and easy-to-use. You just need to pull down the magnetic device to the magnetic base of the skewer. Put your food till the skewer is about full. When the food is ready, just move the magnetic device along the stick to take away the food and place the magnet on the tip of the skewer after use.

Good choice, but not really grill-friendly/heat-proof November 26, 2007

I have used a lot of grill skewers and these are great because they are strong and the metal end works well for piercing tough meat and vegetables without being sharp enough to cause the occasional finger cut. However, the only caveat is that you must keep the handles away from the flame and sticking out of the grill by several inches (thereby making the meat closest to the handle usually undercooked). If you don't, the rubber melts (why is there rubber on something meant for the grill?) and the slider will be stuck in place. If this happens (it did with mine) it really doesn't decrease the utility of the item, but you can't use the slider portion anymore. I bought these and will buy again though.
