I love the grill blower, and works great.

My only complaint is that this model is already giving out after about six months.

I will purchase another one, but I will get the beefier version and hope its internal gears are of a higher quality.

The Air Grill Blower does a good job of getting a fire going. I need much less paper/twigs/commercial starters. It also perks up a failing fire nicely. It's small enough to tuck into your vehicle's trunk, but too big for backpacking. Downsides: it blows so much air that it may puff ashes into your face. It doesn't have a freewheel, so you must take you hand off the crank handle or the gears grind, probably shortening its life.

This little gem is the greatest thing since sliced bread. It has made starting our fireplace so much easier. Easy to use. Compact. Not electricity dependent! There needs to be instructions on the front of the package to describe how to get it out of the package. Easy, but not obvious!

I'm using for a fireplace. Blows lots of air, but it's a little noisy, and because it's only about 10" long, you need to get pretty close to the fire.

We have been using this product for years and were sad when we couldn't find it for a while. Small and practical- A must for any one who starts fires
