1 out of 5 stars Bad joke   March 5, 2008

This thing is a piece of cheap plastic junk. I bought it mainly for the wind direction indicator, but it takes near gale-force winds to make it move at all, even with lubrication. I was going to say the thermometer is OK, but today I noticed that water has seeped inside and fogged it up. The rain gauge is OK, but that's worth a couple bucks. Took me a half hour to figure out how to fit the myriad plastic pieces together because there were no assembly instructions. Save your money.

4 out of 5 stars The "little" weather station   November 16, 2007
I purchased this garden weather center to help my step-son with a science project he chose. He had to take wind direction readings to see what direction the winds blows the most frequently in our area for the project. It's a nice little weather station for seeing the temperature and measuring rainfall with the gauge. I found though, the anemometer wasn't always accurate in the direction of the wind. It could be where I have the station positioned in front of our apartment. I don't feel this was totally a waste of money. I'm a big time weather buff. I can now measure the amount of rain that has fallen where I live. Even though I can't use it one aspect, I can certainly use it in another.
