Simple and easy August 13, 2008
For the price- this is a great item for the amateur baker who wants to make that baked good a little extra special. My only complaint: it is recommended that the plastic pastry bags be cut 1 1/2 inches from the bottom to fit the metal piping pieces. This is too much-- the icing leaked out of the bottom. Otherwise- it is simple and easy to use. If one is feeling very environmentally conscious-- you can wash and re-use the plastic bags.

Figure Piping Ideas for Cupcakes and Larger Cakes by Roland A. Winbeckler Makes this Decorating kit tons of fun. If you have kids and they need you to make the cupcakes for that Halloween party they are having at school you will love these 2 items together. I bought this decorating kit for my first-grader to encourage her interest in baking. She needs a little help filling the plastic pastry bags, but she's really got a handle on controlling the icing. And because it includes several decorating tips, this kit is one she can grow with as her skills develop--she's already up to gingerbread men.
