Like a jolt of caffeine, the large polka dots on Mocha Java jumpstart the day. This bold and refreshingly retro pattern from Noritake mixes milky coffee flavors with sage green on a creamy white background. The edges of the polka dots turn fuzzy and feature a slight raise that's pleasing to the fingers. A line of dark coffee brown accents the handle of the mug and the rim of every piece.

This Mocha Java place setting for one consists of a generous 16-ounce mug; deep 6-by-3-1/4-inch cereal or ice cream bowl; 8-1/2-inch salad plate; and a 10-3/4-inch dinner plate. The polka dots on the mug line up across a pale coffee-colored band at the top, while on the plates the dots are randomly scattered. In keeping with the hip 1960s look, square accent plates and a freeform serving platter are some of the wide range of accessories available separately. Very fresh and hip looking dinnerware that lasts! Microwaveable and diswashable. Has survived my three kids and still looks great. Different colors in polka dots allow lots of possibilities for contasting serving pieces.
