5 out of 5 stars Perfect for my needs   March 27, 2008

After considering buying an arrow shed (and reading the bad reviews) I decided to give the Suncast one a shot. Didnt hurt that Sears was having a sale ($900 shipped). They delivered it saturday morning at like 7am (about 6 hours early) and I was surprised about the size and number of boxes. I picked up a good friend and then we got into building it. It took us about 2 hours, which is less than I expected. The roof pieces were a bit difficult, but nothing we couldnt handle. Overall the construction was solid. The pieces didnt fit perfectly, but were very close. Security wise, it would be easy to gain entry, but in the 8 months or so, I have not had a problem. The first night it was up it rained very hard and I did not have a single problem with leaking. I have actually not secured the shed, instead it sits on the driveway with a few sandbags inside for good measure. I fit 2 sport-bikes inside with zero problems. I am looking at buying another one in the future.

5 out of 5 stars Great Storage Shed   February 23, 2008
The storage shed went together very easily. Installed on a wood platform because didn't want a cement pad in the yard. After laying out all the parts and checking against the instructions, installation was completed in less than four hours. Directions were easy to follow and pieces fit perfectly.

5 out of 5 stars Great Building!   November 17, 2007

I read the reviews on this building prior to purchase. They made the building sound a little difficult to assemble. It does take two people for easy assembly and it went together with no problems. I purchased it for a well house and had to cut part of the floor away to fit it around the well and filter. It still seems sturdy and weatherproof. I also would recommend you make sure the ground is level and put some type of gravel as a base under the building. I used a fine ground type of gravel called crusher run. It made the floor seem harder instead of placing it on freshly smoothed earth. I am very pleased with my purchase!

4 out of 5 stars Much better than expected   October 21, 2007
I just finished assembling this shed today and it took me about 6 hours by myself with no help at all. I purchased mine from the local Menards for $658.00 (no windows). Being mostly resin I expected it to be lightweight and flimsy...I was surprised at how much my truck's suspension dropped when the fork truck lowered it into the bed! Instructions are detailed and accurate, 99% of everything aligned right up and I had fun building it. There are 3 VERY heavy steel beams that run from header to header and all side panels have steel support braces. The door area also has heavy steel support tubes that run from the header to the ground. Nothing short of a tornado will take it out and no amount of snow will hurt it as the roof is extremely well supported.

Complaints:
Doors should have steel bracing and a steel latch for security. It could be easily modified, but as it is a screwdriver could easily snap the resin handles right off.
The ridge vents across the roof center are a very high quality touch but there's no screening in them so I can see issues with wasp nests next year.

Overall it's a sturdy good looking shed that won't rot away or need painting every few years. I do recommened a helper for assembly if you're not experienced in contruction.
