Good, bad, fine - hard to say. July 28, 2008
I got this because it was cheap, looked easy to read, and my oven is highly questionable. All of those things were true and remain true. Now I have a problem: I'm not sure what to trust. The thermometer is almost as questionable as my oven.

So I took the thermometer to work and tested it against an oven that I suspect is much more accurately calibrated and still no resolution. At home the thermometer reads that my oven is about 40 degrees hot. At work it reads that the oven is about 15 degrees hot.

The fundamental concern is: if one buys the cheapest oven thermometer can it be so cheap that it can't be trusted to do the one thing it is designed to do?

Pretty acurate! July 22, 2008
Very inexspensive and works pretty good. My only complaint is that I haven't found just the right spot in the oven for this Thermometer. It has come off of the rack twice when pulling out the oven rack. I'm sure when I find the correct spot for it to hang that it will be great.

Inaccurate Thermometer June 20, 2008

I needed to get a second thermometer because I had a feeling the one in my oven was a bit off and many people recommend two for accuracy. Well, this on was WAY off. I got a THIRD to confirm it. I can have the over set at 400 and both the others are more or less the same. This one consistently shows over 500 degrees for anything over 350. Waste of money.

Oven thermometer June 2, 2008
The numbers are big enough to see through the glass oven doors. Cleaning is not a problem, sponge dipped in warm water & soap, and towel dry. I bought this thermometer to check my built-in thermometer, both gave the same reading. I thought the built-in thermometer was inaccurate but with 2 thermometers giving the same temperature, the oven must be OK. For the price, this is a good buy.
