Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
A wood spoon is the perfect tool for mixing a variety of ingredients and flavours. Made of solid beechwood with a natural mineral oil finish, this wood spoon has a contoured handle to fit comfortably in the hand with a thumb groove that provides stability and improved performance. It has a deep bowl for spooning soup or other liquids. Safe for use with non-stick cookware.
Hand washing recommended; do not immerse in water. Regularly oiling the wood with mineral oil is recommended to extend the life of the product.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A true Italian spoon.   October 31, 2008
I honestly don't understand why the other review gave it one star.

As any italian knows, if the spoon doesn't break when mama gives you a smack on the hand, it's the right spoon to make the spaghetti sauce.

Also beech wood's natural oils resists the acidity of tomato sauce and last longer b/c of it.

1 out of 5 stars Big chunky spoon, more like a block of wood than a spoon   October 15, 2008
This is by far the bulkiest spoon I have ever owned. The head is more like a block of wood than a spoon, I think they did this so that it could handle heavy stirring, but still they could have sanded it down a bit more in the head. I do not recommend this spoon. It is also made in China, just in case you are wondering.
