Product Description
You can debate all you want about espresso makers and which is the best but the proof in Italy is that most natives prefer stovetop espresso makers. And nearly 90% of Italians own at least one Bialetti coffeemaker. The dual chamber design has been proven to provide delicious, flavorful brew with little effort, in just a few minutes, heated on a stovetop. This Bialetti Class stovetop espresso maker combines elegant style combined with high quality construction. Heavy gauge 18/10 stainless steel body, Black handle and knob and stainless steel filter basket.

5 out of 5 stars Simple and Sweet   December 27, 2008
No fuss, no muss, simple to use and clean up. I'm not an espresso connosieur but I do like a good cup now and then. I have an electric brand name espresso maker that's a major effort to use and clean up. It has been retired in favor of this little gem. I'm all about "simple". I'm also in favor of stainless steel versus aluminum. For that reason -alone- I chose this version over Bialetti's other models. The only issue I have with this little pot is that it's hard to tell when it is completely done brewing. It gurgles as it brews, but one doesn't want to let it gurgle too long to avoid bitterness. I'm amazed at how quickly a pot is brewed. Living at high-altitude, liquids boil much quicker than at sea level, but a full pot of espresso is brewed in about 2 minutes here. Easy to clean, easy to use. Brews a delicious cup or two of espresso. Much easier than the fussy machines you pay thousands of dollars for.

5 out of 5 stars You don't want to know me before my first coffee, but this pot does the trick!   November 26, 2008
For several years I have been using stove top expresso makers to make my morning coffee. I have always used to cheap variety, and as a result have gone though quite a number of them. After the last one almost exploded on the stovetop, I decided to bite the bullet and pay for a more expensive one. I am so glad I did. Not only does this coffee maker make really good tasting coffee, it is also a very attractive piece of kitchenware in its own right. I am also glad that I went for the 6 cup over the smaller version. Now I know that if you make expresso properly then a six cup pot should make enough coffee for 6, but I find that with a tablespoon of non expresso beans per person, this little pot makes enough coffee of an adequate level of potency for two cups of coffee, enough for my partner and I to both have a good start to our day. There is something satisfying (and comfortingly ritualistic) about making coffee each morning using a stovetop coffee maker and this one has taken care of all my coffee making needs.

4 out of 5 stars great coffee maker   November 25, 2008
Great coffee maker.
I also have an Espresso machine, but I changed it because there are too many plastic parts in the machine (plastic and hot water - I don't want the chemicals leaching into my coffee) I like to use the Bialetti everyday. It gives you great coffee. I use strong espresso coffee beans for a great flavor. And it made from stainless steel much better than the aluminum once.

5 out of 5 stars Saving $5 a day now...   November 23, 2008
This little pot along with the Aerolatte Milk Frother makes great lattes and has been saving me $5 a day for the past couple weeks. I still plan to stop at my favorite coffee shop once a week or so to pick up some freshly roasted beans.

In all honesty, the coffee shop espresso is a bit richer than I have made in this so far. However, it is very good and I plan to continue saving myself $5 a day ($1,825 a year!)

Oh, if you don't like it, chances are good you may not be following the directions...Bialetti Class 4-Cup Stovetop Percolator

5 out of 5 stars Great Pot   November 22, 2008
Makes a great cup of coffee, easy to clean. The handle broke on mine after nine months of use.
