At first glance, this Collins table lamp presents a sleek transitional-style room accent with an off-white linen fabric shade, brushed steel swing-arm and base, and handsome cherry wood support post. Surely, a nice addition to a desk, reading chair, or sofa. But turn it on, and the technologically-savvy VisionSaver by OTT-LITE reveals carefully engineered, eye-friendly illumination that mimics the power of natural daylight in superior detail definition, clear contrast, and accurate color rendering. The low-heat, low-glare 20-watt bulb is also much more energy efficient than standard incandescent bulbs, lasting up to 10,000 hours without replacement and measurably reducing greenhouse gas emissions by using less power. For increased precision, an achromatic reflector inside the shade helps to direct light just where it's needed. The lamp measures 22-3/4 inches high and the shade diameter is 14 inches.
