Product Description
Witty, one-of-a-kind imaginative cupcake designs using candies from the local convenience store.

America's favorite food photography team, responsible for the covers of America's top magazines, shows how to create funny, scary, and sophisticated masterpieces, using a zipper lock bag and common candies and snack items. With these easy-to-follow techniques, even the most kitchen-challenged cooks can

• raise a big-top circus cupcake tier for a kid's birthday
• plant candy vegetables on Oreo earth cupcakes for a garden party
• trot out a line of confectionery "pupcakes" for a dog fancier
• serve sausage and pepperoni pizza cupcakes for April Fool's Day
• bewitch trick-or-treaters with chilly ghost chocolate cupcakes
• create holidays on icing with turkey cupcake place cards, a white cupcake Christmas wreath, and Easter egg cupcakes

No baking skills or fancy pastry equipment is required. Spotting the familiar items in the hundreds of brilliant photos is at least half the fun.

5 out of 5 stars No Skills Needed   July 5, 2008
I thought this would be more of an inspiration type decorating book but it is made for people with NO artistic skills. If you are good at decorating it is just a jumping off point for more creative ideas. I like to make cupcakes for my grandchildren and for showing off a bit at our neighborhood BBQ's. I love watching the kids reaction when they see them. That is the big pay off for me. With this book it doesn't take that much effort to get great feedback. Instant gratification! Have fun and don't worry about being perfect!

4 out of 5 stars Certanily more of a cook than a baker...   July 2, 2008
However, this book does a great job providing inspiration for fun ideas mainly for children....and for those of us that are kids at heart. The majority of the book is easy to complete and it provides even the novice baker with some great tools for not messing up!

4 out of 5 stars Cute Cupcakes   June 28, 2008
The recipes in the book are very cute and some look easy to make. I am looking forward to making them for school functions.

3 out of 5 stars Beautiful decorations, but disappointed in recipe!   June 28, 2008
5 out of 5 found this review helpful

First, let me say that I love the pictures and decorating ideas in this book. I have had the book for about a month, and I have not had a chance to make any of the decorating ideas out of here, but this is my favorite cupcake book so far. My complaint is on the actual recipe I made. I made the Vanilla cupcakes last night for my daughter's birthday today, and they were horrible. I ended up throwing the entire batch out and luckily I have some cake mixes in the pantry and am making new cupcakes this morning for her birthday party this afternoon! So frustrating!

5 out of 5 stars Great book!   June 26, 2008
This book is a lot of fun and has easy to follow directions for making great cupcakes. Fun with kids.
