Better than a stand mixer for limited space in a kitchen May 8, 2008
Originally purchased a new KitchenAid stand mixture. It was too big to keep out on my counter and too heavy to lift in and out of a cabinet. So...I returned it, purchased the most powerful hand mixer available and am really pleased. (Looked at several brands but KitchenAid had features I wanted without being too heavy). Even egg whites didn't take so long that I got tired (or bored) while whipping them up.

Not Delivered May 8, 2008
I purchased this mixer (very good mixer from my previous experience) along with another item. The other item was delivered in a timely fashion without any problems. I was notified the mixer was "undeliverable" to my home, to which many other Amazon items (including the one ordered at the same time as the mixer) had been delivered in the past without any problems whatsoever. Because of this, the sale was lost, as I ordered the mixer from another source. Very frustrating experience, calls into question Amazon's delivery system.

The beaters go round and round May 4, 2008
When you turn it on, the beaters go around. When you turn up the speed they get faster. Guess that's what it's supposed to do. It seems to have plenty of power to mix most anything.

Just Right April 26, 2008
Couldn't be happier with this product. I almost balked at spending over $70 on a hand mixer, but since I tried it, I'm glad I did. Life's too short for cheap, noisy "disposable" big-box mixers.

Warning: might not look like photo in description April 25, 2008
For those like me who value appearance as much as function, you might be interested in knowing this mixer (same model #) has a few different appearances. I've seen a few different versions (all having the same model number) on different web sites. Mine, which I ordered here, was all white with a stainless-steel stripe (not black and red). I'm quite pleased with this revision, actually, but if I had really wanted black/red, this difference might have been an issue for me. Just fyi.
