This is an unusual and lovely place setting. The Naturewood design takes a soft, natural color palette, then adorns it with sketches of leaves and potted herbs such as lavender, basil, lemon verbena, and sweet bay (yes, they're labeled), as well as a birdhouse and watering can here and there. There's also a thin stripe of green with purple and mauve accents around the center of the plates and bowls. The 16-piece set provides service for four, consisting of 11-inch dinner plates, 8-inch salad plates, 7-1/4-inch salad bowls, and 10-ounce mugs with green interiors. As with all Pfaltzgraff dishes, single replacement pieces are available for broken items. The stoneware is microwave-, oven-, freezer-, and dishwasher-safe. Three-year warranty. --Doree Armstrong

The product arrived in a very timely fashion, extremely well packaged, and was in great shape (one piece had a few scuff marks on it, but no big deal). There was NO way to beat the price that I paid. A very satisifed customer.

Oooh! Real dishes instead of Corningware... February 28, 2008
After 25+ years of using Corelle dishes, I decided it was time for real grown-up stoneware. After searching for weeks, I decided on Naturewood by Pfaltzgraff. Amazon had a very good deal on their 16 piece sets, plus, it was free shipping! How could you beat that? The dishes are even prettier in person than they are online. They do get silverware marks on them easily, but that is the "nature of the beast" (the finish they use on the stoneware marks easily). Pfaltzgraff sells some nifty cleaner that easily removes the marks if they bother you. The marks on my dishes aren't too bad. My guess is a cleaning every now and then (every couple of months or so) will take care of the worst marks. Yes, these dishes are heavy. They are stoneware. That is to be expected. I like their heftiness. So far, they seem to be working well. They go perfectly in my house; I love the design of the dishes. Plus, Pfaltzgraff, when it retires a pattern, keeps the basic dishes in production for a few years following the retirement. I am happy with my purchase.

The pattern for the media plate is not very well designed: it make the plate look dirty.
Other that that, the whole set has pretty nice appearance and are durable.

Absolutely beautiful set for the money February 1, 2008
Beautiful set for the money. This is typical fantastic Pfaltzgraff quality. If youre familiar with Pfaltgraff pieces you wont be disappointed here. This isnt something they made cheap to sell cheap. This is honest to goodness quality. I am very impressed with this deal (as im sure you can tell). The packing for shipment was impecible. This was another great Amazon deal. Thanks.

I bought two sets of this dinnerware, and we love it. The plates are wonderful, the cups are just right, not too small, not too large. For the price,you cannot beat this dinnerware set.
