Amazon.com Review
Muted green, rose, yellow, and terra cotta (and delightful sparks of brighter orange and yellow) in this casual dinnerware pattern evoke the play of sun and shade, warmth, and fountain cool of a New Orleans courtyard garden. The French Quarter's subtlety shows up brilliantly against this 8-1/2-inch, 1-quart vegetable serving bowl's gleaming, creamy background. Made of durable stoneware, the bowl is perfect for serving anything from corn to corn chips, and complements French Quarter dinnerware place settings. French Quarter stoneware is safe in the oven, freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. Pfaltzgraff makes French Quarter available in dinnerware, glassware, and accessories. --Fred Brack

Product Description
Master Chef is favored for its durability and performance by professional chefs Leafy green, pottery orange, white and vanilla offer a relaxed and rustic palette while the meandering vines and sponged backgrounds recall hand-painted ceramics. Picture the charming inner courtyards of old New Orleans and enjoy the ambience of "French Quarter."

Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Pfaltzgraff makes louzy dinnerware   August 10, 2006
We bought a complete set of French Quarter dinnerware plus accessories less than two years ago. Now the design has faded so badly you can hardly see it and the glaze shows every knife and fork mark. I know from others who own other Pfaltzgraff designs that the same things happens. DON'T buy this brand. Their glaze is not durable.

2 out of 5 stars Made in China poorly!   August 26, 2004
We have the entire set of Phaltzgraff French-Quarter dishes, including the small salt/pepper shakers. There are several things wrong with this piece. The measurements are incorrect and this bowl is only two inches deep, not four as indicated in the ad. The multi-colored side stripe is not straight and the bowl wobbles due to the base being misformed. Very poor workmanship. We would have given it one star but it does not leak, yet! The dishes do not stack eveningly and the bowls are misaligned, too. They are attractive and cheap.

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful Serving bowl   December 3, 2003

I got this free from amazon during one of their promotional sales on dinnerware. Bought the french quarter dinnerware set and this came free. It is a beautiful bowl and wonderful for serving at parties. I always receive compliments on this pattern and it is very sturdy and runs great through the dishwasher. I love this pattern because it is elegant enough for a formal dinner party, but casual enough because of the weight of the pieces to use on a daily basis.

5 out of 5 stars Great mid-sized dish!   October 2, 2002

My wife and I have just recently become empty nesters and decided it was time to upgrade our dinnerware. After looking around we settled on Pfaltzgraph, specifically the French Quarter design.

This bowl is the perfect size to serve mashed potatoes, steamed carrots or just about any other veggie dish you can imagine.

We have be very pleased with all the Pfaltzgraff we have purchased, so much so we have just about doubled our initial orders!
