Not just for the Starbucks types May 14, 2008
I bought this for my Grandmother, who lives in an Assisted Living community that apparently has really poor coffee. It is simple for her to use and makes the equivalent of a couple cups of coffee. She can make her usual rounds socializing with her buddies and take the cup along. It is easy to clean up in her small kitchenette sink and doesn't take up much space. So, consider this as a gift to someone who maybe doesn't need a travel mug so much as just a nice, easy way to get their morning coffee without a lot of trouble.

This product makes a good single cup of coffee, and is very convenient to use. The purchase through AMAZON.com went very well, and saved me a lot of time and effort looking for the product in retail stores.

The worst item I have EVER purchased - April 29, 2008
makes a mess every time - also, I have to immediately put the coffee into the microwave every time to reheat since it doesn't make HOT coffee - lukewarm at best, and undrinkable - (I clicked ONE star only because there is no way to make this a ZERO star item!)

Great for 1 person April 28, 2008
I agree with "Former Marine" 100%. I use mine at work because the coffee there tastes like sludge. This is great for 1 cup and I keep mine on my desk. Permanent filter is easy to clean and ready to use for my 2nd cup in the afternoon. I use my own mug which fits perfectly on the base. I'm still playing with measurements to get that perfect taste of coffee and cream. I have not experienced coffee grounds 'leaking' into drain or cup as some other people have mentioned. Worth the small price.
