Amazon.com Review
A great gift for those with small kitchens, this hand-held blender and its accessories take the place of several larger appliances. Included are a regular blending blade (which can be immersed 8 inches into soup pots or deep bowls), a wire whisk for beating eggs and batters, and an enclosed chopper for nuts, cheese, and fresh herbs. Also included are a four-cup mixing beaker with a snap-lock lid, useful for storing blended ingredients, as well as a drawstring bag to keep all the components together. KitchenAid covers the blender with a one-year, hassle-free replacement warranty. --Ann Bieri

Product Description
This immersion blender provides efficient powerful blending at any speed, as well as chopping and whisking. Its motor is designed for quiet, long-life operation and thoroughly blends both hot and cold foods. The stainless steel blending attachment features a splashguard with air slots to increase flow during blending. Unlike plastic attachments, it won't stain when you work with tomatoes, curries, and berries. Its 8" length allows you to blend in deep pots or pitchers. You'll find this an extremely handy tool for pureeing soups, vegetables, baby food, and beverages. With the whisk and chopper attachments you can also create whipped desserts, dressings, dips, and chopped nuts, veggies, meat and other foods.

5 out of 5 stars Immersion blender   July 5, 2008
[[ASIN:B00008GSAB KitchenAid KHB300WH Hand Blender,
I own one and gave this as gift to my daughter in law. Mine does not have all the accessories, but really wish that I had ordered them.
These blenders are great. Saves a lot of dish washing, works very well with strong motors.

5 out of 5 stars Something I always wanted but never knew until I got it.   June 24, 2008
I had been looking into getting an Immersion Blender for a few months. I had looked at different models and weighted a number of different features. For what I wanted to spend it came to the KitchenAid and the Viking. It also came down to online and not retail. Eventually I chose the KitchenAid, because it had an adjustable speed control.

I wanted to use it the first day I got it, but I did not have any meals planned that would take advantage of its functions. Then a week or so later I roasted some tomatillos to make a verde, green, sauce to cook some chicken breasts for taco meat. I used it to puree the roasted tomatillos, fresh garlic, and onion it did a fantastic job, the sauce turnout great. I took some potatoes I had slow cooked with a roast and turned them into beefy mashed potatoes. I was looking into getting a ricer to mash potatoes, not now, I will use the Immersion Blender, it did a really great job of mashing the potatoes, skins and all.

I have many great hopes and ideas for this product and look forward to many great meals built using it and its attachments. I can't wait to explore using the chopper and the whisk.

I am thoroughly happy with this product and recommend it to anyone wanting a good tool to aid them in their cooking

5 out of 5 stars For the passionate cook   May 15, 2008
An immersion blender is not a tool that you use everyday. However, if you enjoy making vinaigrettes, or other blended recipes, the Kitchenaid is a fantastic tool. What differenciates it from all others is the Kitchenaid quality, the "feel" or ergonomics of the tool, the powerful motor, and the adjustable speed control. Before purchasing the Kitchenaid, I bought, and subsequently returned two other brands from local cooking specialty stores. The Kitchenaid comes as a complete kit, which includes chopping and whipping attachments that make this tool ultimately useful. If you are a serious cook, the Kitchenaid should be your choice.

5 out of 5 stars excellent product   May 14, 2008
I was very concerned before buying this product because it was only 200 watts. I owned Braun 200 watts before and was not that happy with its performance. My sister had Braun 400 watts and hers was quite powerful when it came to chopping. But unfortunately, Braun doesn't sell anything beyond 200 Watts in US, so I settled for KitchenAid after reading all the good reviews about it even though it was little expensive than the other makes.

But I am really amazed how powerful this 200 Watts gadget is. Its extremely fast and effective, I must say better than Braun 400 Watts even on speed 1.Chopper works excellent on onions, Tamotoes, veggies and have saved so much of my time.It actually chops them to the finest possible and gravies have become an easy job now. Blender works just fine too.I just wish they had a bigger beaker than this size.I haven't used whisk yet so I am unable to comment about that.Cleaning the unit is easy too.

Also, I am glad that its being of steel/ and black in color decoloring will be minimum esp with spices like turmeric which had decolored my old braun.

I am extremely glad that I made this choice. Cooking has become lot more easier now.

And yeah, delivery was smooth and intime.
