Aspiring meteorologists and will be thrilled with this La Crosse Technology wireless weather station. Ideal for darkrooms, greenhouses, or other environments that require a consistent temperature reading, the WS-7014CH records indoor temperature, humidity, and remote temperature as measured by the included TX37U-IT remote sensor. For those who need multiple temperature readings, the unit is compatible with up to three remote sensors, and displays the information in both Fahrenheit and Celsius. If gauging current temperature isn't enough to satisfy, the station also forecasts upcoming weather conditions based on changing air pressure, employing several user-friendly icons, such as clouds, raindrops, or the sun, in the display. The forecast is approximately 75 percent accurate for 12 to 20 hours.

Like all La Crosse Technology products, the included clock and date indicator receive their readings from the U.S. atomic clock in Fort Collins, Colorado, ensuring that the time is always 100 percent accurate. In addition, the weather station stores both daily maximum and minimum temperatures in its memory. The remote sensor is accurate up to 330 feet away with no obstructions, and approximately 50 to 65 feet away if exterior or interior walls block the weather station. Other features include a 12- or 24-hour time mode and an air-pressure tendency arrow. The unit is comfortable either hanging on a wall or free standing and measures 3-1/2 by 5-1/2 by 1-1/4 inches (W x H x D). Both the display unit and remote require two AA batteries.

For what I need: Perfect! August 25, 2008
Having a certified allergy to the cold, living in Upstate New York's Catskill mountains used to be extremely stressful for me in the wintertime. Now I've created my own little tropical oasis out of some utility shelves and shop lights. Ferns, orchids and ivies grow beautifully -- but need lots of humidity. This little device lets met monitor that (and of course the temperature) in my room -- as well as letting me know when it is too cold to go outdoors. I love it. It also keeps up the time, updated constantly. I was worried that here where we have no "towers," no cable; no cell-phone access, it might not work. It works perfectly! Thank you very much.

Excellent weather station: accurate, durable, great value! August 11, 2008
I have owned the La Crosse WE-7014CH wireless weather station for a few years now (at least 4-5 yrs).
It has worked very well from day one. It's very accurate, easy to set up and the batteries in both the receiver and sensor last a long time (I'm sure it's been well over a year, close to two since I last replaced batteries). I have always had sensor sitting in outside window ledge, exposed to all East coast weather without any problems.
This weather station is a reasonably priced, well built product.
Highly recommend this and any of La Crosse products.

I am very satisfied with my new LaCrosse weather station. I like the size of it and you can't beat it for the price. It arrived sooner than expected and has been performing flawlessly since I received it. It was very easy to set up. I highly recommend purchasing this product.

Office weather station July 10, 2008
This product is sized right. The one screen provides all the information at once, Time, Date, Weather, Inside Temperature and Humity, and outside temperature. Setting up the product was okay, instructions were okay. The radio control clock is not working, must not be getting the signal it needs based on where I have it. But the time is accurate on its own and I can live without it. I like the outside temperature module, easy to mount and has good range.
