Beautiful but not exactly the same... June 1, 2007
I bought two of these to replace ones we had broken. The original ones were part of the complete place setting that we bought five years ago.

In comparing the old bowls and the new ones, I notice that the blue rim of the new bowls is more straight up and down than the old ones, which flare slightly with the shape of the bowl. It's hard to tell, but I think the curve of the new bowls is less than that of the old ones.

This bowl has the exact same colors and pattern as the old ones, so for the most part the subtle changes in the shape won't be noticeable except when stacking them in the cupboard.

All in all, I'm glad to find this replacement bowl. They are great for hot items since they get warm and keep the soup (or whatnot) warm inside longer than some other materials out there. I love stoneware!

Very large bowl February 4, 2007
My teenager loves these large cereal bowls. They fit about twice as much cereal as our previous stoneware bowls. The pattern also complements the Summer Breeze dinnerware beautifully.
