This deep 3-quart colander is designed to drain pasta and vegetables quickly and thoroughly. Exhibiting the colorful mosaic-like 'tiles' of Villeroy & Boch's Twist Alea collection, the enameled steel colander coordinates with Twist Alea Limone, Verde, and Caro lines of dinner- and bakeware.

Measuring 5-1/2 by 11 inches, the colander is made of heavy-gauge carbon steel coated with a durable porcelain enamel finish that resists chips and stains. A shiny touch is added by the stainless-steel rim and cast handles. Washing the colander by hand with a sponge and dishwashing liquid, not abrasives, will keep the finish bright and smooth. Discolorations that may occur over time can usually be removed with lemon juice. --Ann Bieri

Quality product. Heavy gauge metal, well finished. If not needed as strainer, would also make an attractive fruit bowl in casual kitchen.
