Slightly deeper than the traditional cereal bowl and a bit smaller than most serving pieces, this mid-sized dish has a million uses. It comfortably houses everything from large individual portions of cereal or pasta to a dinner-for-two side dish. Constructed of vitrified porcelain, the scratch-resistant piece possesses enough strength for daily household use without exhibiting the wear and tear that typically comes along with it. A wide, curved rim surrounds the bowl opening while a small grooved shelf sits just inside this rim to house a coordinating lid--available for purchase separately. Glossy, white surfaces clean easily in the dishwasher and add to a simple, contemporary look. Imported from Germany, this Villeroy & Boch piece is a member of the Home Elements collection with a broad selection of coordinating pieces available for purchase.
