Created by Pfaltzgraff's in-house designer Kathleen McLane, "Napoli" is a subtly decorated, hand-painted collection that evokes the light and colors of the Italian coastline. The soft palette of pale orange, rose, varying shades of blue and light green creates a bright, cheerful setting for any meal. The 4-pc. Place setting includes one of each: 11.5-in. Dinner Plate, 8.5-in. Salad Plate, 30-oz. Soup/Cereal Bowl and 18-oz. Mug. About Pfaltzgraff: One of the oldest pottery makers in the United States, The Pfaltzgraff Co. was founded in York, Pennsylvania in the year 1811. This once modest-size shop (where salt-glazed stoneware was crafted by hand and sold to local merchants and townspeople) has grown and expanded with hundreds of dinnerware patterns (from traditional to contemporary) gracing the tables of homes all across America. Their new manufacturing plant (located just west of York in Thomasville, PA) hosts tours almost daily. Tour their facility and you can see how this 200 year-old tradition has stood the test of time with its long-standing tradition of excellence in craftsmanship, quality and service.

Have had the set about a year ,we are careful with the way we load it in the dishwasher and have had No chipping as of now . Great design and Amazon price was great value

We received these as a gift. While the plates are beautiful and match the kitchen decor, they're just TOO BIG!

Only 4 dinner plates fit in the dishwasher. And I'm good at packing it. We've had several sets of pfaltzgraph before, and have other china, etc, I've never seen this problem; I can usually get 10 dinner dishes in. These would be unusuable for any large gathering; I won't wash by hand...

The bowls are way too huge, like mixing bowls. 2 of these bowls stacked take up the space of 6 of our older pfaltzgraph dishes. The cups are larger than our old bowls, and much better than the old cups.

This seems to be a new fashion, like the restarants that serve you gigantic portions of food you don't need. I'm afraid my kids will either overeat or waste food by taking too much.

Even though they're beautiful, they're being returned.

While the dishes are beautiful, the large plates are so big they don't fit in my standard size wall cabinets. I had to rearrange my whole kitchen so I could store them in my base cabinets. Also, they DON'T MICROWAVE WELL!!! The plates get very hot while the food doesn't. If you don't plan to put them in the microwave I would say ok because they are so pretty.

These dishes are so attactive and prettier than the picture shows. The colors and quality are great. I ordered place settings for 12. After receiving the dishes, I decided to order a number of the accessories. I'm so pleased with every item received. Highly recommended!!
