Pfaltzgraff's gorgeous Jamberry pattern blends fine-dining sophistication with down-on-the-orchard charm. The 48-piece dinnerware set is definitely suitable for entertaining, with 12 full place settings, but it's also simple and durable enough for everyday home use. Each place setting includes a dinner plate, salad plate, soup/cereal bowl, and mug that are chip resistant as well as microwave- and dishwasher-safe. The rich green-leaf borders and ripe red, yellow, and purple fruits comprising the Jamberry design were created by a watercolor artist especially for the collection. And like all Pfaltzgraff dinnerware, this set is also oven- and freezer-safe.

When it comes to customer service, Pfaltzgraff is fabulous. They offer a 5-Year In-Stock Promise, guaranteeing that if a registered pattern was retired in 2002 or later, they will produce basic dinnerware items for five years after the date of retirement, as well as providing notification of the planned retirement. And in case of breakage, Pfaltzgraff will pay for half of the first stoneware replacement piece during the first year of ownership. Betsy Herring
