Awesome price for a great board November 10, 2006

No warping here. Heavy and flat as a board (ha!) Board is approx 1 3/8" thick - description doesn't mention this. This board is beautiful and is offered at a price even casual cookers can afford BUT I agree that you must be willing to oil it regularly and protect it from moisture. I will update this review if I experience anything negative but that's not expected.

We purchased this as a gift for "MOM", but the whole family uses & loves it. Like any wooden item, it requires care - and won't tolerate high level of moisture... it, you can't give it a bath in the sink.. but it's not designed to be treated that way.

We' treat it with oil occassionally, wash it with a wet clorox cloth, and dry it - especially after meat or poultry.

You'll love it.

Good quality, perfect size for all your kitchen needs. I put rubber grippers under it so it doesn't slide and treated it twice with mineral oil. Great price and quality, better than spending $80 for similar item.

I used this board a couple of times, and it warped, split, and felt very rough to the touch after rinsing it in warm water. I am returning it.
