Keep a steady supply of almond biscotti or chocolate macaroons in this fanciful Villa della Luna cookie box. Hand-brushed with azure blue, the body of the rectangular cookie box features a green scroll design with salmon red accents, underscored by a classical border. Two side handles allow for easy lifting. The lid is washed a warm earthy yellow with a top knob formed of two butter-like curls, identical to that on the butter dish. The box stands on its own or makes a spirited complement to an entire line of mix-and-match Villa della Luna dinnerware.

Introduced by Pfaltzgraff in 2004, Villa della Luna is inspired by scenes from the captivating book, Dancing with the Moon: A Story of Love at the Villa della Luna. The book is the sequel to The Secrets of Pistoulet: An Enchanted Fable of Food, Magic, and Love, set in southern France, the inspiration for Pfaltzgraff's Pistoulet dinnerware line. Attractive Jar December 22, 2007
This jar is very attractive and looks good with the other counter-top Villa della Luna accessories (utensil crock, spoon rest, etc.). The jar's detractions are that it is not huge and doesn't have a lid that seals out air. I'd give it a "B."

The cookie jar is pretty and looks nice on my counter. I've had many compliments on the Villa della Luna set already.
