Too remarkable to hide away, this moon platter looks stunning hung on the wall or displayed in a hutch, not to mention that it also functions beautifully as a serving dish. A cake or quiche may cover the feminine moon face and yellow crescent, but the large round platter will still show its azure blue border and soft green stripes with whimsical blue squiggles. The platter makes a wonderful gift to a fan of the Villa della Luna story, from which this moon design is directly taken.

The platter has vibrant colors. I leave it on my counter to hold fresh vegetables.

Big and usable August 27, 2007
The plate is huge and very usable for parties and get togethers. It's not nearly as pretty as the other pieces in the set though. The face on the plate looks a little smudgy. I would buy it again though for its functionality.
