Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Roomba Discovery SE is the top of the line Roomba with some very down to earth features. Like Roomba Discovery, the SE features Dirt Detect, the self-charging Home Base(TM), an extra-large debris bin, the Roomba Remote, three cleaning modes plus a Charging Wall Mount for convenient storage. And, of course, the SE comes with the Advanced Power System that gives all Roombas the energy to get the job done. SE does it all, and looks great doing it. Retail Selling price of the unit is $300 and is sold out at most retail stores. This unit is factory sealed, with all the accesories for a fraction of the price. Roomba Discovery SE comes with: Rechargeable APS battery 3 hour charger Charging Wall Mount 2 Virtual Walls Roomba Remote Home Base Filters Roomba Discovery SE is the top-of-the-line in Robotic FloorVacs. Automatically returns to the Self-Charging Home Base when its battery is low. APS Charging System provides up to 120 minutes of cleaning power and charges the battery in under 3 hours. Comes with a Fast Charging Wall Mount, Self-Charging Home Base, Active Dirt Response, Advance Power System, Max Cleaning Mode, Remote Control, and 2 Virtual Wall Units.

5 out of 5 stars Skeptical at first   May 9, 2008

I was skeptical at first, but with rave reviews from friends who have a Roomba, I went ahead and took advantage of this great deal from Amazon. Let me say I LOVE THIS ROOMBA!!!! We have tile throughout the house, and a relatively clean dog (or so I thought, lol). This roomba is EXCELLENT for picking up dog hair. I was SHOCKED at the dust/hair I was missing with everyday sweeping. The tile looks amazing after running the Roomba. I probably would not spend $300 for one at Bed Bath & Beyond (because I am a tightwad), but this was a great deal from Amazon, and totally worth it ($169).

5 out of 5 stars This thing is great.   May 5, 2008
I started with the Scooba and had to have the Roomba. In a world filled with technology, finally something that takes care of some back breaking work with little or no effort. I would recommend them both to anyone that has a back problem or is just sick and tired of endless house work. Just press the button and go have a cup of coffee out on the deck.

I HAVE HAD THIS ROBOT FOR A FEW MONTHS NOW. STILL WORKS GREAT. NO PROBLEMS. I HOPE IT CONTINUES TO DO SUCH A GREAT JOB FOR ME. I HAVE BACK PROBLEMS AND VERY HAPPY TO FIND SOMETHING THAT GETS THE DOG HAIR UP. I USE IT ABOUT TWICE A WEEK.

My Roomba has become sentinent! I am writing this review from my locked bedroom. My roomba has armed itself and is prowling outside waiting for me to emerge.

5 out of 5 stars Go Roomba!   April 15, 2008

I've had my Roomba Discovery since Christmas 2004. I've replaced the battery once. Twice I've had technical difficulties with the Roomba and both times the problem was quickly solved by one phone call to Roomba's friendly, efficient personnel: the first time, I was sent a new Roomba and recently I was sent upgraded software. Both fixes were at no charge, not even shipping, which is remarkable for a product more than 3 years old. Roomba picks up all debris in his path, including spilled canary seed and the leavings of six grandchildren who hang out at my house. He picks up lint and dust that are not apparent to my naked eye. He hops on and off low-pile area rugs with no problem, and works well on hardwood and slate. His dust bin and filter are very easy to empty, the brushes remove easily for cleaning; I also give him a thorough dust-off with compressed air so that fine particles don't settle in to clog his sensors. He is not silent, but is quiet enough that my infant grandson naps while Roomba runs circles around him. My housekeeper comes every other week and Roomba does the job on the alternate weeks. Since he can't get at the furniture and window sills, he won't completely replace our canister vacuum. But this little guy is great and my family and I have become quite fond of him.
