Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
This 2-qt. cast iron Round Dutch Oven is an excellent choice of cookware for beginning or expert chefs. The cast iron construction has superior heat retention, which makes it easier to cook at very low temperatures for extended periods of time. The tight fitting lids help to seal in moisture allowing for tender meat dishes and flavorful soups and stews. About Le Creuset... Since 1925, artisans have been crafting Le Creuset cookware in the French village of Fresnoy Le Grand. Each piece of Le Creuset cast iron cookware is handcast, polished, double enamel-coated and then fired, resulting in some of the finest quality cookware available. Cast iron is one of the best materials for distributing heat gently and thoroughly and is ideal for induction ranges. The strong enamel coating will not absorb odors or flavors, and is easy to clean. Heavy lids securely seal in moisture and flavor. Le Creuset cookware comes in a variety of sizes, colors and styles to match any kitchen and cooking preference. So lasting, you'll pass it on to the next generation of promising cooks.

5 out of 5 stars my review   September 17, 2007

I have two kinds of Le Creuset, and I like 2-quart round. It's not big, but I can make rice every day and I can carry this oven when I have a party with food. It's heavy, but I can wash easy because of small, so I use it every day.

5 out of 5 stars This pot rocks!!!   June 7, 2007

Even after over a year of use (which is a lot) this pot still looks brand new out of the box, I could probably even return it if I tried - but that would be just silly getting rid of it. Enjoy! This is by far the best piece of cookware I've ever owned.

I love Le Creuset and have never been dissapointed with their products. I especially like this color--very clean looking. The 2 quart size is almost too small for family (there are 3 of us). Go the next size up if you're big eaters or have more than 3 you're feeding.
