Amazon.com Review
This 7-1/4-quart round French oven by Le Creuset is the most forgiving pan I've ever used. If you just happen to forget you're sauteing onions for a soup while you answer the telephone, there's no need to worry--the onions won't burn. Enameled cast iron has been recognized as one of the best materials available for cookware because it retains heat and promotes gentle, even cooking at low heat ensuring that the best flavor is brought out from the ingredients. It's perfect for use on any heat source--gas, electric, radiant, ceramic, halogen, induction, or solid fuel. There's also a tight-fitting, enameled cast-iron lid that helps seal in heat and flavor. Food will be kept hot as you bring it to the table for serving. And you will certainly want to serve out of this beautiful piece--the color and shiny finish will brighten any table setting. The French oven measures 11-1/4 by 14 by 6 inches and carries a limited lifetime warranty. --Jane DePaolo

5 out of 5 stars A pot for a lifetime   September 23, 2008
The first one I purchased was on my daughter-in law's wish list for her birthday. She is a beautiful, young and phenomenal cook. Always believing that the cooking process is an ongoing learning and exploring procedure, I put a pot on my birthday list the following year. There are some things that just must be made in it...for instance...chili, meat or marinara sauce, pulled pork, soups. While the first purchase was the color Dune, mine was a beautiful red. I don't even have any red in my kitchen but this pot called out for red for me. All the colors are lovely.

5 out of 5 stars A Dutch Oven for a lifetime!   May 2, 2008
Cooking with Le Creuset for a year now, has been nothing but sheer pleasure! I have a 9 different pieces now in my collection and I know I'll never be buying any other brand than Le Creuset. Absolutely at the top for quality, beauty and reliability. These pieces definitely make a statement for the gormet, home chef! It sounds crazy, but just knowing you have them to work with, makes you want to cook more! Nothing beats them in my opinion and over the years, I've tried MANY top name brands. This is it for me. I'm in heaven. :-)

I JUST MOVED TO A "GLASS TOP" STOVE AND MY OLD SOUP KETTLES WERE TOO BEAT UP TO MAKE CONTACT. THIS IS LARGE ENOUGH FOR BOILING DOWN THE TURKEY CARCUS, BUT NOT TOO BIG FOR MY STOVE TOP. VERY NICE. I'VE USED IT SEVERAL TIMES FOR STEW THIS WINTER. AND I LOVE THE NEW COLOUR!
