5 out of 5 stars Beautiful liitle pan; beautiful little price!   September 9, 2008
I couldn't be happier with this high quality 1 qt saucier. It's perfect for preparing my individual serving of chai in the traditional method on the stovetop. And with the pouring lip I never spill the hot chai in the transfer to my mug. Other bonuses: heats up quickly and water boils on medium heat, handle stays cool and best of all, clean-up is a breeze. The Amazon price can't be beat!

5 out of 5 stars It pours without spilling   June 19, 2008
That's all I asked for; a pan that pours without spilling. Water for coffee cups. At last, a well designed lip on a pan.

5 out of 5 stars Great pan   June 13, 2008
This is a great little pan, perfect for so many uses. It's comfortable to hold, very sturdy, heats evenly, cleans easily and I just love that pour spout!!! It has become my favorite small pan even if it didn't come with a lid.

I highly recommend this pan. Buy one, you'll thank yourself after you see how useful and well made it is!!

5 out of 5 stars great price, great pot   March 2, 2008
actually enjoy cooking in this pot; cleans up in a few seconds,nothing sticks to it and high heat is not necessary: highly recommend;

5 out of 5 stars Extremely useful   December 16, 2007

On the one hand I want to say that a one-quart saucier (or pot) is a great idea that I've neglected for too long. I've hesitate because I do not have a large kitchen and do not like single-use or specialty items cluttering up valuable shelf/drawer space. The one-quart is just a bit of a specialty and I use it for making pudding, gravies, a can of soup, or often for warming up leftovers. Now that the kids are grown, the size is just right for my wife and I. I don't use the pour spout much and I'm not sure it's all that useful, but I have a cover from another pot and I like having a bit of a hole for the steam to come out so I don't have to "cock" the lid. OK, so that is my brief pitch for the idea of a one-quart pot.

Speaking specifically about this Cuisinart pot, let me start by saying I only have one one-quart pot, and this is it. I was concerned that the small base would not work well on my electric range. No problem. It sits solidly, even when empty. The handle has cut-outs near the pot so that heat does NOT travel up it much--I never have to use a potholder to pick it up. The constuction is absolutely solid--this is not a "little league" pot, but rather a big-leaguer in a small size. All the weightiness, strong materials, and solid riveting one expects in any of Cuisinarts top range.

One last comment. It does go on sale from time to time and I bought it when it was, making it an especially good value.
