I (the wife) bought these to make Creme Brulee in them. I was surprised by the physical size here, but they are the usual high quality from LeCreuset. The largest diameter is 3.25" at the top, outside measurement. Inside, useable diameter is only 2.5". Basically the size of my palm. Check these measurements against other bowls in your collection before buying! Height is 2" tall. Love that Gorgeous Cobalt Blue! Would make good prep bowls or condiment servers. Nice weight.

I use them for melted butter for my artichokes, shrimp or crab. They keep the butter hot.
