Like that first cup of morning coffee, Latte tableware eases you into the day. The softly rounded, cream-colored forms show bands of fawn and buff, along with accent lines of darker espresso, for a warm and comforting look. The four place settings in this box make a great starter set for someone in need of casual dinnerware. Included are four each: 11-inch dinner plate; a smaller plate for salad, lunch, or dessert; a deep, rimless bowl for soup, cereal, or ice cream; and a 14-ounce mug. Pfaltzgraff mug handles are made separately in order to stay cool no matter how hot the drink in the mug.

Available separately is a 9-inch, wide-rim soup plate that also makes an ideal individual bowl for salad or pasta. Made of durable earthenware (and not to be confused with an earlier Pfaltzgraff pattern called Caf� Latte), Latte dinnerware is safe for heating foods in the microwave, freezing leftovers, and cleaning up in the dishwasher. --Ann Bieri

I purchased this dinnerware about a month ago. I absolutely love it. The pattern is very nice. I especially love the cups. They're just the right size for morning coffee and I love the design.

Poor packaging January 20, 2008

I purchased this dinnerware set for my daughter for Christmas. It arrived with broken plates. I returned the order and ordered a replacement set. It arrived with broken plates, so much so that I didn't even open the box, I could hear the broken pieces when I brought the package inside the house. I've ordered quite a few Pfaltzgraff items in the past, and have never had a problem with broken dishes. I would not recommend this item because of this problem. I'm not sure that I will order anymore dishes from Amazon if this is the way they will arrive.
