Villeroy & Boch Aureus 6-Inch Tea Cup Saucers, Set of 6

Available here in a set of six, the Aureus 6-inch saucer pairs up with the 6-3/4-ounce teacup. One of the delights of the china pattern is the variety of filigrees found on the different pieces; this plate shows an aquamarine band overlaid with a golden floral and leaf pattern, which contrasts strikingly with the more regular honeycomb pattern found on the teacup. The teapot, sugar bowl, and creamer are different yet, and all combine beautifully for entertaining. Due to the gold trim, Aureus is not suitable for microwave use but may be cleaned safely in the dishwasher. The china is imported from Germany. --Ann Bieri
