Tackle soiled carpets and dusty hardwood floors with equal efficiency with this upright vacuum from the United Kingdom- based Dyson. The All Floors vacuum lives up to its name, catering to stairs, delicate rugs, linoleum, and shag carpeting. From Dyson's innovative The Ball line, the vacuum actually rolls on a ball, twisting and turning 360 degrees. Dyson mounted the 10-amp motor within the ball for a low center of gravity and installed a pivoting 13-inch cleaner head to further enhance the vacuum's superior mobility.

Crafted in ABS and polycarbonate materials, the vacuum fits under coffee tables and beds with a low profile head. The motorized brush bar benefits from a direct drive to aggressively dislodge embedded debris. For hard floors or delicate carpets, prevent scratching with the push-button brush bar shutdown. The vacuum's Root-8 Cyclone technology powerfully sucks dirt through the spacious debris channel, depositing it in the transparent .71-gallon dustbin. The bin empties at the push of a button, requiring virtually no physical contact with its contents. The permanent, washable HEPA air filter ensures that collected allergens stay contained inside the vacuum while the vacuum releases air with 150 times less bacteria and mold. A built-in telescopic hose system allows the user to tend to stairs and curtains. Provided airflow nozzles assist in retrieving dust from crevices. The vacuum's power cord spans 37 feet, with a 51-foot maximum vacuum reach. A 90-day manufacturer's warranty covers this item. Made in Malaysia, the vacuum measures 13-2/3 by 11-2/5 by 44-1/10 inches and weighs approximately 20 pounds.

5 out of 5 stars Finally a REAL VACUUM!!!!   July 23, 2008
You can feel safe purchasing a reconditioned Dyson dc15. Let's put it this way. I have 2 cats. There is (was) cat hair ground throughout the carpet. (old raggedy carpet at that!) The Dyson picked up ALL the hair, dirt and grime-you can actually see pounds of dirt accumulating in the canister. I did get a minor shock with my sweaty hands but my husband did NOT-so maybe its me. ALSO, it is NOT as loud as most say. In fact it was quieter than the Eureka bagged vacuum that we just threw in the garbage- it constanty spit OUT dust. I put it outside by the garbage cans and hope someone will steal it. Hurray for Dyson. A company that finally got it right!

5 out of 5 stars This is real a sucker   July 20, 2008
So far I had it for a month, this is a impressive machine.I highly recommended,it costs a lot more elsewhere and I can't tell the difference.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing Machine   July 17, 2008
The Dyson is pricey, even for the recondition machine; however, so far I've found it to be the best vacuum I've ever used. The tools are very accessible, the machine is easy to use, and the suction is fabulous. The on/off button, as well as the brush off/on button, is in a very easy-to-use area; and emptying the basket is also very easy to do. The extension tool is a little clumsey but okay once you get use to it.

5 out of 5 stars Better than a Kirby!   July 11, 2008
Have been intrigued by Dyson vacs ever since they came out but seriously, who needs 4 vacuums? Love my 25 year old Eureka cansiter vac as well as the overpriced Kirby upright. However, as I move around a lot, thought I'd leave the heavy Kirby in storage to save on shipping and opted to try out the hi-tech animal edition Roomba robot vac. Such a cool idea but with 2 dogs and a cat the tiny robot just couldn't keep up and it got to where I would have to clean the filter once or twice in the middle of its 45 minute cycle, what a pain! When I saw the reconditioned Dyson on Amazon, I was sold and hands down, it's by far my favorite vacuum of all time. Fantastic cleaning and so satisfying to be able to see all the crud and hair it picks up every time. The ball feature is fun and love how the vacuum easily transitions from area rugs to hard floors to carpet--very smooth, without having to pick up the vacuum to get it over the rug edges. And with such efficient suction, it's a minor miracle that smaller rugs don't get sucked up into the roller like all of my previous uprights. As far as the reconditioning portion, the vacuum looks brand new. Hope this is helpful and you like the vacuum as much as I do! Maybe I can sell my others on ebay or amazon and wish I knew then what I know now--don't waste your money on anything else!

4 out of 5 stars Dyson rollerball   July 10, 2008

I love this vacuum, it does everything it promises and true to it's slogan does not lose suction. The attachments are useful and the flexible hose to use them with is very long which makes getting into hard to reach areas really easy. It's simple to put together and emptying out the dust cylinder is a breeze. My only complaint is that it makes a high pitched noise when it's running, not sure if that is just the one I bought or if this occurs with all Dysons. Also the floor sweeper is not working but that maybe because there is something tangled in it which i need to investigate further
