Bakers Delight May 15, 2008
This kitchenaid has already produced 11 baked goods since my purchase. (about 2 months) It's sturdy and mixes flour, graham crackers, eggs, egg whites, very very well. I would recommend this for anyone planning a lifelong relationship with their kitchen.

The guard is un-necessary as there's good room on the sides to pour stuff in. The hook is great for doughs. Just remember to snap the bowl in securely before mixing.

How did I cook without this? May 5, 2008
My hubby got me this for our anniversity and boy am I glad!! I was so tired of holding the hand mixer, having it bog down and then having to remix the dry ingredients that did not mix. I made some homemade icing and it was soooo creamy that my friends thought it was store bought!! It's easy, I don't mind the missing "tilt back" in other mixers, I can work in a smaller space. BTW, it's heavy so don't think you can just pick it up and move it. I hope everyone else who buys this has as much pleasure as I have had using it!!! Go KitchenAid Go!

I am very happy with the mixer I purchased. It is very well built and does a great job mixing batter. The handle to raise the bowl is very easy to use. It is certainly a great product for the price.
The only drawback is removing the bowl is not as convenient as it could be.
