Amazon.com Review
Just as there's nothing better than a bottle of wine at the beach, cabin, or campground; there's nothing worse than being stuck without a corkscrew. The travel corkscrew from Screwpull is not only compact and lightweight; it's a sophisticated tool friends will covet. Not only does this clever corkscrew take the work out of cork removal for effortless bottle opening, it now automatically twists the cork off the screw as well. To open, simply pull the handle and the durable Teflon screw drives precisely into the cork's center. Push lightly the other way and the cork climbs effortlessly out of the bottle. Then, while holding the corkscrew panels (and not the cork); pull the handle again and--voila, the device pushes the cork off the screw unscathed! Pinch down on the sides to keep the cork from falling off, and reinsert it with the same ease. Finally, fold up the corkscrew and pack it away.

Designed in Europe and engineered with the highest quality materials for strength and durability, Screwpull's new Trilogy line also features luxurious, soft touch panels for extra comfort. Non-stick coating and perfectly-shaped points ensure frictionless opening. Plus, this innovative new line of Trilogy corkscrews and bottle-opening accessories was awarded the 2004 Cooking Club of America Kitchen Tested Seal of Approval from Cooking Pleasures magazine. --Brian Olson

Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Easy opener   October 3, 2008
My wife complained about the difficulty with using several different types of openers until we found this type. We had one crack as well but it is still the easiest to use. I just bought two of them in case another cracks. It cost less than a good bottle of wine.

2 out of 5 stars This is the second time this model has broken!   July 27, 2007
Unfortunately, I have had problems with this design. When removing the cork, it can be hard to get the screw "centered" on the cork, which can make it go in cockeyed. The cork comes out okay but it will not disengage from the screw. Luckily I bought it at a store that guarantees satisfaction for life. Just wish it had lasted more than two years!

5 out of 5 stars great wine opener   March 26, 2007
Opening wine bottles is a breeze with this opener. Had a previous one that broke, but the ease of use makes it worth buying another.
