This vacuum-insulated carafe maintains and serves any hot or cold beverage at the proper temperature. Press your thumb against a button on the handle, and the spout opens to allow pouring. The carafe's satin-finish, stainless-steel exterior and black plastic accents create a modern, functional appearance. Rinsing the carafe's glass interior with warm water is usually the only cleaning necessary, but swirling a teaspoon of mild detergent diluted in warm water around with a soft sponge or cloth removes stains. Wonderful October 7, 2008
Zojirushi Premium Thermal 1-Liter Carafe, Brushed Stainless Steel

This is a wonderful product. Truck driver for 32 years and I've seen a lot of thermos/carafe products. This is one of the best ever.
Button sticks? Top probably not fully in place. Base gets loose and leaks a bit? Carefully unscrew the base,carefully wash and dry the bottle and insides then simply do a careful reassembly. Left over condensation in the lid. Several products on the market to clean out any bad stuff.Then simply run several carafes full of water through it 'till smells fresh.. Want it to keep coffee or water a bit hotter? Simply let a carafe of hot water rest in the carafe while you prepare a pot of hot water or your choice of drink and it starts hot and stays hot for a bit longer.
I've owned that little carafe for several months now and it's seen almost 100,000 miles in my truck. Still keeping my coffee hot. Love it.

Great for hot water September 13, 2008
This carafe does a great job of keeping things hot. I use it to keep hot water ready for making or heating baby formula. I've also made tea with the hot water. It's just the right size to last a day - though it can go 2 days.

I also have a simple electric kettle to boil water, so this carafe works well with that. The metal finish is nice, so it looks good sitting on our counter. For those who pay attention to where things are made, this product is made in Japan.

This Works - Yea May 3, 2008
I purchased this item after reading other reviews and I am happy I did. I had tried several other carafes which claimed to keep coffee hot but did not deliver - this one really works. It keeps coffee hot for several hours and as a added bonus it is easy to pour. The push button feature makes this product easy to use for everyone. In fact, I like this so much I plan to order another one for my summer cabin. Worth it's price!

Great Carafe April 2, 2008

We've had this carafe for about a year and a half, and it's still keeping the coffee hot and looks great. We've never had a problem with it. You will notice after awhile that the bottom loosens up and coffee will leak between the glass and metal. Carefully unscrew the bottom (the glass carafe sits loosely on the base), remove the glass, wash and dry everything, and put it back together. Do not submerse the cover or you will have to take it apart to get all the water out. I now carefully wash it with a soapy cloth under running water and that is all it needs. It does not leak while pouring and definitly keeps the coffee hot for 12hours, drinkable for 24. I highly recommend this product.

Excellent -- keeps hot liquid steaming hot for several hours March 29, 2008
This keeps my steaming coffee hot for hours. The cap is easy to get on and off and the button works fine. My only minor problem with it is that when I'm pouring out the very last drop, the coffee comes out where the lid screws in rather than from the spout. This is a very minor complaint about an excellent product!
