Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Now you can grill anytime anywhere, indoors or out, with this extra large Foreman grill. Like all the other Foremans, this one features the sloped non-stick cooking surface that allows grease and fat to drain away. The temperature control and timer ensure your food will be cooked to perfection. Embedded heating elements in both top and bottom speed cooking and seal in moisture and flavor. There is a grill stand available separately to make cooking outdoors even easier and safer.

Amazon.com Review
With 200 square inches of grilling space, this version of the celebrated George Foreman Lean Mean Fat-Reducing Grilling Machine grills 12 burgers or chicken breasts at once, perfect for entertaining. The 1500-watt appliance's appeal lies in its simplicity, convenience, and speed--not to mention its fat-fighting ability. Two grills cook burgers, steaks, chicken, sausage, fish, shrimp, and vegetables simultaneously from the top and bottom--indoors or outdoors. The resulting grill marks not only look appetizing but also contribute caramelized flavor. The bottom grill's deep channels collect fat, and the grill is sloped so the fat runs off into a dishwasher-safe aluminum tray (two included) stationed under the unit's front. A floating 2-inch-high hinge permits grilling of extra-thick steaks. One dial on the stay-cool handle controls temperature; the other is a 30-minute timer.

Because the grills are nonstick, cleanup is a snap, requiring just a quick scrape with a plastic spatula (two included) and a quick wipe with a paper towel or a sponge. Overall, the grill measures 20-1/4 inches wide, 8 inches high, and 21-1/4 inches deep. It's made of rugged black-and-gray cast aluminum and stands upright for compact storage. --Fred Brack

1 out of 5 stars don't waste your money   February 2, 2006

i have owned 3 of these and none of them have worked any longer than 9 months, the last one lasting less than 3 months...the wiring burns up in each of them and it doesn't work and can't be fixed, i like the big cooking surface but i do not like having to buy a new one every six months
dont' waste your money on this product

2 out of 5 stars Power Problem -otherwise??   December 28, 2005

This has nothing to do with Amazon. This product came from a brick and mortar store...I just received this grill for Christmas. I grilled sausage on it the first day and they turned out great -no complaints and better tasting than when cooked on a griddle. Unfortunately, during it's second use the power cut out. I thought it was either a curcuit breaker or Groung Fault Switch- it was neither. The dang thing just stopped working. There is no reset and it doesn't seem to have an access panel designed for consumer use. I don't want to open it up and risk violating the warranty. It would be easy to hate except (after two uses) it turned out great food -when it worked. I'm taking it back for a replacement in the hopes that this was just a fluke.

4 out of 5 stars Throw away all your other BBQ'S!   December 3, 2005
OK...I have had this grill and stand for at least 6 years! I believe I bought it the first year it came out. This is the most effecient grill Ive ever owned. I take frozen chicken breast add some salsa...throw them on...and 5 mins...yes 5 mins...from frozen to Mmm Mmm! Using this outside winter or summer...keeps the steam and smell from inside your house too! This grill has gone thru 3 moves and three states...and has stayed outside the whole time! Half of that was without cover! The ONLY reason...it does not get 5 stars(if you have read the other reviews) Is yes, the teflon coating does start to peel off. BUT...that did not start for me until after 3 years! I was using this grill on average 3 times a weeks in its prime! I'd give it 4 and 3/4 stars, if I could! I believe if this is kept covered or moved inside a shed or garage when not in use...it may last longer. Of course...gentle cleaning after each use really helps. I also believe some people try too hard to clean this...because it is so large and looks invincible! Clean just as you do to the indoor ones. After 6 years....its looking bad...but still works great!! WOW. Less than 150.00 for a awesome grill (AND stand!)....that works incredible and will cook for a army let alone the in-laws AND lasts sooo long...how can you beat that! Time for a new one and more years of great food! OH...and PS...if anyone from Salton reads this....REMOVABLE PLATES for this kind!! A match made in heaven!

2 out of 5 stars George Foreman grill   July 21, 2005

I loved my GF grills - I've had 2 of the large ones - that is, as long as they lasted. My 1st stopped working after 10 months. Thinking maybe this was a fluke, I bought another. I only got 6 months out of this one. I had none of the problems described by others (peeling, etc.), probably because they quit working so fast. I hate it, because I love it! lol I'm not willing to fork out another $100 for one more try. If I knew it would work until the peeling started, I'd settle for that, because time isn't as important as frequency of use. I used mine 4-5 times weekly. I'll miss it because I've never had anything to compare for burgers, boneless chicken or grilled cheese sandwiches.

1 out of 5 stars A piece of crap!   February 2, 2005

I wouldn't even rate this with one star!! I was given this grill for a birthday present. For the first year it was great. After about a year and a half, the non-stick finish on the grill started peeling off. Now it is a piece of crap that is hard to clean. I only cleaned it with hot water & dish soap. No abrasives! The numbers on the dial are worn off. Only a very few remain. The grease drips everywhere with very little in the drip tray. It started out as a wonderful piece of kitchen equipment but has turned into nothing but a big worthless piece of crap junk that sits on its recommended stand that you trip over the front leg as it sticks out into your walking path.
