Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Things are looking up for anyone with limited kitchen storage. This Oval Pot Rack hangs from the ceiling, keeping cookware within reach, yet out of the way. It's made of heavy-duty, hard-anodized aluminum for the complete Calphalon look, and is equally as durable as the cookware! Comes ready-to-assemble in compact packaging and includes hanging chains with Quick Link connectors, full assembly instructions and 6 single hooks and 2 double hooks. Additional hooks available separately. No wall/ceiling mounting hardware included.

Amazon.com Review
Is your Calphalon collection getting out of control? Does finding the right pot mean triggering an avalanche of gourmet cookware when you open a cabinet door? Time to unclutter. Made out of the same heavy-gauge aluminum as Calphalon's hard-anodized cookware, this handsome ceiling-mounted rack puts your pots and pans on display, keeps them within quick reach, and frees up cabinet space, all at the same time. The oval shape is perfect over a cooking island; it's a space-saving solution that actually enhances your kitchen's décor. (Also, the pans don't rub or scrape against one another, which minimizes damage to your valuable investment.) Calphalon's patented pot rack hooks can support up to 60 pounds each. They slide freely up and down the rack but won't come off when you reach for a pan. The rack itself is easy to assemble with simple household tools, but Calphalon recommends professional installation. Maybe that's why this kit does not include mounting hardware, although it does come complete with hanging chains. Overhead racks work best in high-ceilinged kitchens, unless you don't mind bumping your head on your beloved sauté pan every now and again. --Mary Park

5 out of 5 stars Pot Rack   July 13, 2008
Seller advertised the product and its condition exactly as the product arrived to me. I feel based only on this purchase you can trust this seller.

5 out of 5 stars Not enough hooks!   July 8, 2008
The pot rack is very similar in both design, appearance and function ability to the professional version. It looks great and does the job very well. The only criticism I have is that this pot rack is big enough for 20 pots and pans or more. Why does it come with only 6 hooks? That's ridiculous.

5 out of 5 stars Looks great - great with pendant lights   January 14, 2007

We have pendant lights that hang 42 ish inches apart over our big kitchen island, which made it tough for me to find a ceiling pot rack that would work...so I put it off. This one is perfect (the lights drop down within the ends of rack), and once you find your ceiling joists with a stud funder (important!) it's easy to install. We're very happy. It's actually pretty light (key since our pots are heavy.)

5 out of 5 stars Love it   June 8, 2005

I installed it in about an hour. Bought 4 screw-in eyelets and chain link connectors to attach to the ceiling joists at 4 points. It hangs above the island in our kitchen. We can hang all our heavy Calphalon pots/pans on it. I couldn't exactly center it over the island due to where the joists were located, but it's OK. I'm going to chance the old lighting above the island so this isn't as noticable.

I got this from CulteryAndMore because Amazon wouldn't match their lower price.

5 out of 5 stars We LOVE our CUSTOM Calphalon Pot Rack! (We put 2 together)   January 27, 2004

We moved into a converted Art School in a wonderful upscale urban area in Pasadena between Cal Tech and the South Lake Shopping district. Our space encompasses the former art studio (with a great northern wall of glass windows slanting inward at the top), a classroom and an office. The great room is approximately 45' X 25'. The kitchen was carved out of one end of the great room and is approximately 16'X 25' and the open-beamed ceiling is about 14' at the lowest and 18' at the highest end with a skylight strategically placed to bring natural light in over the cooking area. Having no cupboards, we had to get creative with storage, so we decided on a potrack. We looked for weeks for just the right pot rack. Most were just too small, or wouldn't hold all the pots, pans and gourmet gadgets we had in combining two hoseholds into one. Some were large, but not sturdy. Some were too fancy and others were not the right color or material.

We decided we would need to build one with the dimensions and strength we would need. Then we found the Calphalon pot rack at Bed, Bath and Beyond in East Pasadena! The price was right, it was the right color, looked just industrial-strength enough and was certainly sturdy enough to hold all we had to put on it! It wasn't quite large enough for our huge space, so we bought two. The center island is more than 6' long. We assembled the rack by using all the sections of one and two more sections of the second one. The curved ends of the second one were attached to the center island preparation table/storage unit to bring the rack and table together (that brought the island to over 7' in length, so the extended potrack is perfect!!) and the rack was suspended from the ceiling with strong chain and hooks purchased at the hardware store -- we hung them at the ends and in the middle straight up with six (6) hooks to make sure it was level and didn't sway. We use the curved ends with hooks on them to hold towels, oven mitts, utensils, etc. We also got gift certificates for Calphalon cookware as a result of the purchase amount, and used it to purchase some new cookware to proudly display on our new rack! It instantly became the focal point of what rapidly became a gourmet kitchen - my dream kitchen realized. Thanks for making it so!
