With a 400-watt motor offering 10 speeds plus pulse control, this versatile blender does everything. Crush ice? Certainly, and it'll blend smooth frozen drinks like smoothies and margaritas. Chop nuts? No problem, and coffee beans, bread crumbs, chocolate, and vegetables (in water) come out at whatever consistency desired, as well. Pur�e baby food? Naturally, and when lumps disfigure gravy, punch the pur�e button and they'll disappear. Shredding cheese, making bread and cookie crumbs, blending hummus and chocolate mousse--all these and many, many more tasks are right up the blender's alley. The big, 56-ounce plastic jar sits on a wide base so it won't tip over when serving from the jar at the table or bar. A removable cap covering the filler-hole in the jar's lid serves as a 2-ounce measure. The blender stands 15 inches high. --Fred Brack

good for light use; develops leaks pretty soon June 6, 2007
This is a good blender for light use. We use it relatively heavily - almost daily. It started developing leaks in just a few months. changing the gasket seal didn't help. Other than that, it was able to blend/grind nicely. many many speed options which is great. So, it's probably worth if you use only lightly.
