Its bottom rimmed with rubber for slip-resistant stability on the counter, this stylish box grater is made of mirror-finish, 18/8 stainless steel and provides a serious cook with three grating blades and one slicing blade. For convenience, a 3-cup plastic container fits snugly inside the grater to catch food. The grater is calibrated in 1/2-cup gradations, has a lid for storage, and is dishwasher-, microwave-, and freezer-safe. There are three grating blades: fine for breadcrumbs, cheese, chocolate, and nutmeg; medium for pulping fruits and vegetables; and coarse for hard vegetables like potatoes and beets. The slicing blade creates uniform 1-1/2 slices in a jiffy. The grater has a large, round, satin-finish, stainless-steel handle and a rugged plastic top. It's rust-resistant and dishwasher-safe. Great at grating but... October 1, 2008
I have been using this for two years, and the grater is wonderful.
But the first trip the the dishwasher (top rack) it was nearly impossible to get the box to fit on the bottom. The bottom part warped, making the box useless.
I still love it, using it over a plate/cutting board. But the box was junk.

I like this product because it's red to match my kitchen. I don't think it's any better or worse than similar items of other brand names. IT works well enough to suit my purpose.

NOW IF YOU HAVE TO USE A MANUAL SHREADER THEN THIS IS THE ONE TO USE. THE PREFORMANCE OF THIS PRODUCT IS AWESOME AND I LOVE THE LITTLE CUP AT THE BOTTOM OF IT. VERY PLEASED WITH THE SPEED OF THE DELEIVERY AND THE FAIR PRICE. A+ SELLER HOPE TO DEAL WITH AGAIN. THANK YOU SINCERELY, JODI

Great Value, Great Functionality December 18, 2007
I wanted a box grater that would not be an absolute pain to use, and this one is amazing. I love the fact that you can easily measure and store whatever you are grating with the attachable measuring cup. It is sturdy and easy to clean, basically everything you can ask for in a grater. I haven't found any problems with it yet, and I absolutely adore it!

I love this grater! I have several different kinds, but this is my favorite because it comes with a container that fits perfectly into the bottom of the grater. I have a Microplane box grater, but it never gets used. We wash most things by hand, and it's easy to wash too. I will say that the silicone band that goes around the bottom of the grater gets a little gunky if you don't clean it properly, so before you wash the grater, take off that bottom part and wash it separately.
